The Dress

I purchased my dress from Perfect Day Bride in Bradford Upon Avon in February 2017 and wore it for my wedding in August 2017. The dress is bias cut with a boat neck at the front and a v at the back. It is beautiful material and is very elegant in its simplicity. Over the top I wore a skirt also from Charlie Brear made from tiers of lace (This is not for sale.) I chose the dress and skirt as I wanted something that would suit my relaxed outdoor wedding and this dress was perfect. It is so comfortable and on the day I could eat what I wanted and dance as much as I liked!

The length from the shoulder to the hem of the dress at the front is approximately 150cm. At the back the dress is longer because of the train. It is a size 12 and I usually wear a size 10 in everyday clothes.

The dress has only been altered in length and the back of the dress was left longer as a train. I am about 166cm/5ft5in tall with my wedding heels on and it was altered to this height. The length from the shoulder to the hem at the front is approximately 150cm.

Unfortunately on the day the ground was slightly damp and it was an outdoor wedding, there are some marks on the back hem/train of the dress that go about 4 inches up from the hem, and also where the train moved along the ground there is some rubbing/crinkling of the lining material (not seen at all when the dress is on). I have taken photos (apologies for the yellowy light), please take a look. Just ask if you would like to see any further photos. The hem of the dress at the front is in good condition with no noticeable marks.
